Reasons for excessive current in centrifugal fans:

With the rapid development of the industrial industry, people's requirements for industry have also increased, so the requirements for the use of centrifugal fans have naturally become higher. Although the quality of equipment produced now is good, there are also some external factors that can cause excessive current during use. When the electric motor current is too high, it can cause a series of problems, such as equipment damage and component burnout. Therefore, we need to find the cause and then solve the problem in a targeted manner. Let's understand the reasons for excessive current.

1. The overload protector of the centrifugal fan is open circuit. There are areas of poor contact inside the protector, and the sound is caused by poor contact, resulting in a sparking sound that generates heat and triggers a thermal trip. You can touch the plastic shell of the protector with your hand to see if it is heating up. In addition, if the screws of the wire interface are not tightened, the same fault can occur, and the probability of it happening is relatively high.

2. If the good pipeline gate valve is not tightly closed during startup, attention should be paid to closing the gate valve tightly. When the flow exceeds the rated value or the air duct leaks, the small flow valve should be closed to check for air leakage.

3. When the belt shaft of the centrifugal fan is installed improperly and consumes too much useless effort, it should also be readjusted and aligned. If the joint operation of the ventilation fan deteriorates or the pipe network fails, it is necessary to adjust the working point of the fan joint operation and repair the pipe network system.

4. The coupling connection is not correct, the leather ring is too tight or the clearance is uneven, it needs to be readjusted and aligned.

5. If the input voltage of the motor is too low or the power supply is disconnected in one direction, it is necessary to check the voltage and power supply of the centrifugal fan in a timely manner.

The above are the reasons and solutions for excessive current in centrifugal fans. Although equipment usually has a protector, it will automatically shut down when the current is not too high. However, if equipment without a protector is encountered, it can cause a series of problems, even burning the equipment and making it unusable. Therefore, if we encounter the above problems during use, we should promptly find effective solutions to ensure that the fan is in normal working condition.
